NFSA Sydney has moved!
The National Film and Sound Archive's Sydney Office has moved to 45 Murray Street, Pyrmont, diagonally opposite the Australian National Maritime Museum. The office was opened by the Hon Peter Garrett AM, MP, Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts with the Professor Chris Puplick AM, Chair of the NFSA Board, other Board members, special guests and NFSA staff on 30 October 2008.
Sydney staff include members of the National Programs team, comprising Big Screen, School Screen and Black Screen screening programs and the website australianscreen online, as well as Collection Access staff who assist with external use and research of the NFSA's National Collection, and members of the Collection Acquisition team that help build the National Collection. The Sydney office includes facilities for auditioning material on site by prior arrangement with Collection Access staff, as well as collection copying under agreed conditions. The NFSA does not usually provide research services on behalf of external clients but can offer guidance on using our online Search The Collection database which provides Google-style, free-text searching of over 700,000 items in the National Collection.

There is short-term paid parking at street level and longer term paid parking at Harbourside Car Park, 100 Murray St, Pyrmont. The office is a 15-minute walk from Town Hall railway station and accessible by bus routes 443 and 448. It is handy to the Pyrmont Bay Light Rail Station and the Harbourside Monorail Station and also close to the Pyrmont Bay and Darling Harbour (Aquarium) ferry wharves.
